Bloomington Carpet Upholstery Steam Clean Savage 1 scaled

The residential carpet cleaning process starts the moment you make the call to Bloomington Carpet and Upholstery, a local Twin Cities professional carpet servicing the metro area. The phone is answered by Jerry, a 2nd generation carpet cleaning business owner. Jerry takes pride in his one-on-one consultation with the customers and the job at task. He walks you through from start to finish explaining his process of walking through the house and assessing the floors or upholstery to be cleaned. While Jerry would love to guarantee that all stains and spots can be removed he would be misleading the homeowner but he’s up front and honest at which stains or high traffic area spots may not look brand new when he’s finished but he can guarantee that your floors will be clean!

Truck Mount Set-Up

Bloomington Carpet and Upholstery comes highly rated as it is a top-rated truck mount carpet cleaner business in Bloomington and the surrounding areas. Set-up begins the minute Jerry drives up to your residential home and the truck is parked near the entrance. After the initial walk thru he then begins by unloading his steam cleaning tools and hoses.

Pre-Treating

Once all the equipment has been set-up the pre-treating begins. All floor surfaces and upholstery gets pre-treated with a mild water based surfactant which is applied with a high pressure sprayer and high heat. it doesn’t need much dwell time. On heavily soiled areas Jerry will brush the pre-treat in with a carpet rake for more agitation. This part of the process only took a few minutes and I was surprised at how quickly he was able to pre-treat the areas that were being steam cleaned.

Steam Cleaning

Carpet steam cleaner is the type of carpet cleaning method involving hot or steam water to wash. In this method, heat is used to remove the dirt and stains since it can clean and soften it up. Jerry goes by H.A.T.S. Heat (the temperature of the water being used), Agitation (rate of scrubbing each fiber), Time (how long the solution is left to dwell on the carpet), and Solution (cleaning solution used) which is also known as the “cleaning pie”. Sometimes this is also called C.H.A.T. (Chemical, Heat, Agitation and Time). What is the cleaning pie? So if you hear the words “carpet cleaning pie” you know you’re working with a professional carpet cleaner!

Final Walk-Thru

So by now an hour or so has passed and your professional carpet cleaner Jerry, has everything cleaned up and put away. Your carpet and upholstery look amazing and you feel better knowing that if nothing else they are clean and sanitized! You’re probably thinking that by now this is where you’ll find your invoice slid under the door and a disappearing carpet and upholstery cleaner. But not with Jerry! He takes the time to do a final walk-thru with the homeowner going over any issues that may have come up along the way. He will also point out if there are any future issues he sees with your carpet ie. that it may need to be stretched soon to maintain longevity etc. Once the final walk-thru is complete you will be handed your invoice and you can ask any questions before Jerry heads out and this wraps up the residential carpet cleaning process with Bloomington Carpet and Upholstery in Bloomington, MN.
